The team behind BCLC
Kari Truax
Director
Hello! My name is Kari Truax and I became the Director of BCLC in October of 2023. My passion for education and working with children began when I was in school myself. I adored school and would come home and play school in my basement with my younger sister. The love for education just continued to grow! I completed my Bachelors Degree in Educational Studies at Wittenberg University and my Masters in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of Dayton.
I found my way to Be Hope Church when I moved to Dayton in 2020 and immediately began serving in Be Hope Kids. My former experience working in Parks and Recreation overseeing family programs and summer camps, combined with passion for ministry in the kids department, led to stepping into this role.
I grew up in Carmel, IN and now reside here with my goldendoodle, Eddy. In my free time, I love coaching volleyball and am currently the Varsity Volleyball coach at Greenon High School and coach club volleyball at Air City Chix.
I am blessed to be serving the BCLC families in this role and am expectant for the work God will do through this Learning Center.
Ashley Liston
Assistant Director
Hello! My name is Ashley Liston and I am the Assistant Director at Beavercreek Christian Learning Center. I have had the pleasure of being a part of this incredible organization since September 2005, and the honor of being the Assistant Director since August 2015.
Upon graduating from Beavercreek High School, I went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Wright State University in 2010.
My husband, Cody, and I were married in 2012 and have two children together, Cohen and Piper. We have several pets, as well, as we are all animals lovers!
I have been very blessed in my life and am beyond thankful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given. GOD IS GOOD!
